Dear Constituent
This week I was delighted to attend the Scottish Asian Business Award in recognition of the determination, hard work and personal achievement of Asian business men and women and their contribution to Scotland’s economy. Congratulations to all the winners.
Save Otago Lane Save Otago Lane
A second application for the re-development of Otago Lane has been submitted by the developer Otago3.ltd. Under the Planning (Scotland) Act 2006, the council must allow for a 12 week consultation period. I strongly urge all local residents to take the time to view the application and voice their concerns.
I believe this development, and all planning applications of this nature, seriously threaten to destroy the character and integrity of Otago Lane and the wider West End. It is essential that we fight to protect the future of our community and local businesses and I will be perusing the matter with Glasgow City Council. For more information visit http://www.saveotagolane.co.uk/
My next Constituency Surgery will be held on Friday the 27th November at 9.30am in the Hut Community Centre, Anderston. No appointment necessary.
I look forward to seeing you there.
Enjoy your weekend!
